Future plans
The BFI Academy has provided me with a great deal of hope for my future as a filmmaker and has helped me discover my passion. I have chosen to pursue a career in filmmaking not just as a hobby any more. I would like to specialise in the craft of cinematography( DOP) as i have a love for technology. To assist me in this I will be applying for higher education at Birmingham City University in their film production technology course. I have applied to the NFTS craft residential and have been accepted as a sound engineer, which should help my independent films have a higher production value. As it is the most underlooked aspect of an amature film.
After the BFI i have been working on a couple of projects, i have had an opportunity to join a crew of filmmakers in Birmingham, who are working on a Documentary about Birmingham's Urban culture. I have been working as a sound recordist on set and assisting with interview booking and location.
I have also been working as a camera operator, on two end of year collage projects. Which has helped to expand my camera and lighting knowledge.
