Yamination studios is a stop motion company based in Birmingham founded by Drew Roper. The studio produces shorts, pilots, promos and TV commercials. It has an impressive list of clients such as Smyth toys, Coca Cola and Sky arts. More recently the studio produced a toy advert for Disney, for is upcoming Star Wars sequel.

It was amazing to see how passionate Drew was about his work, as seen when he gave us a tour of his studio. He has rooms for every set of production elements and a love for Art Deco. This was present in his logo and design of the studio. It was impressive to see that he has a stop motion replica of his studio door outside his door. He is clearly a man who loves what he does above all. I was amazed to hear that he had worked on the Fantastic Mr Fox film, which is one of my favourite films growing up.
